Book an Appointment
Urgent appointments for today
Same-day appointments are strictly for new problems that have developed in the last 48 hours. If you have had a problem for a long time, then you need to book a routine appointment.
The receptionist will ask you several questions concerning your request and what action you have taken so far to self-care. The receptionists will signpost you accordingly.
If you are placed on our triage list, the duty doctor will review your condition and if necessary, will arrange an appointment in time order. If you are unable to attend the emergency appointment arranged, then you may be directed to the walk-in Centre or to call back when more convenient for you. In some cases, an appointment may not be necessary, and you may be given medication.
How to book
- Telephone: 01253 229520 between 8am to 10:30am
Book a Routine Appointment
If you wish to simply speak to the doctor over the phone, please contact reception and explain the nature of the call. Reception staff will then arrange a suitable time for you to speak to the doctor.
Ways to book
Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)
You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.
Travel Vaccinations
Information and advice for travelling abroad.
Home Visits
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
If you need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
Telephone: 01253 229520
A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery.
If you wish to simply speak to the doctor over the phone, please contact reception and explain the nature of the call. Reception staff will then arrange a suitable time for you to speak to the doctor.
Change or Cancel an Appointment
To help us offer appointments as soon as possible to as many people as possible, please cancel any appointments you no longer require.
If you would like to change your appointment, please ring the surgery and one of our care navigators will help as best as they can to rearrange your appointment for when you need, availability depending.
